  • 2 egg whites (room temperature)
  • 1 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 1 c. granulated sugar
  • 1/4 c. white Karo syrup
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 c. coarsely chopped pecans

Directions

    In heavy 2-quart saucepan, combine sugars, corn syrup and water.

    Cook, stirring, until sugar dissolve.

    Continue cooking until a small amount forms hard ball in cool water.

    Set aside and cool slightly.
