Seafood Batter Dip

  • 1/2 c. self-rising flour
  • 1/2 c. self-rising corn meal
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 1/2 lb. fish or shrimp

Directions

    Combine dry ingredients and mix well. Add water and mix again. Dip fish or shrimp into batter. Drain off excess.

    Fry in deep hot oil at 375° for 3 to 4 minutes. Drain on paper towels. Makes 4 servings.
