Ingredients

  • 1/2 c. chopped onion
  • 1/2 c. sliced celery
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1/2 c. flour
  • 4 1/2 c. water
  • 1 chicken bouillon cube
  • 1 Tbsp. ketchup
  • 1 tsp. seasoned salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 (6 oz.) cans crabmeat, shrimp or combination or cut up fresh fish
  • 1 c. undiluted Carnation evaporated milk

Directions

    Saute onion and celery in butter in saucepan.

    Stir in flour. Gradually stir in water.

    Add bouillon cube, ketchup, bay leaf and seasoned salt.

    Heat to boiling.

    Reduce heat and boil gently for 5 minutes.

    Discard leaf.
