Ingredients
- 6 Tbsp. flour
- 6 garlic cloves, chopped
- 1/2 c. chopped bell pepper (green)
- 2 lb. peeled raw shrimp
- 3 qt. water
- 1/4 bunch chopped parsley
- 3 bay leaves
- 1/2 pt. oysters with juice
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. diced onion
- 1/2 c. chopped celery
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 lb. claw crabmeat
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 can or 1 pkg. frozen okra
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Make a roux with flour and shortening.

2Add garlic and cook until golden brown.

3Add onion, bell pepper and celery and cook until transparent.

4Add shrimp and tomato sauce; simmer 10 minutes, stir in water and blend well.

5Add all other ingredients except okra and oysters.

6Cook 1 hour; add okra and cook 20 minutes.

7Add oysters and cook 10 minutes longer.

8Serve in a soup bowl over steamed rice.
