Seared Tuna 'Sushi'

Ingredients
- 2 tuna steaks, about 2 inches thick and 12 ounces each
- 3 tablespoons cracked black pepper
- 2 tablespoons coarse salt
- 2 tablespoons five-spice powder
- Soy sauce
- 4 tablespoons thinly sliced ginger
- 4 tablespoons wasabi paste mixed with 4 tablespoons water
Directions

1Wipe steaks dry with paper towels.

2Mix pepper, salt and five- spice powder together and coat outside of tuna.

3Leave for about 30 minutes.

4Preheat grill or broiler.

5Sear the tuna over very hot coals for about two minutes on the top and on the bottom.

6Pass the sides over the coals for a minute.

7Cool the tuna and serve, passing the soy sauce, ginger and wasabi paste separately.
