- 1 box German chocolate cake mix
- 1 (8 oz.) pkg. softened cream cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2/3 c. granulated sugar
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate bits
Directions

1Prepare cake mix as directed on box.

2Fill each greased cupcake cup 2/3 full.

3Cream together the cheese, salt, sugar and egg until light and fluffy.

4Stir in chocolate bits.

5Drop a tablespoon of this mixture on top of each cupcake.

6Bake in a 350° oven for 25 to 30 minutes.

7Cream mixture will be in the center of each cake.

8These may be frosted with chocolate icing, if desired.
