- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- 13 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 dash salt

1Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

2Spoon batter into paper-lined muffin pans, filling 2/3 full.

3In separate bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar - creaming until light and fluffy.

4Add egg and salt - beating well, stir in chocolate chips.

5Spoon one heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture onto center of each cupcake.

6Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.

7Cool in pan for 20 minutes.
