  • 1 (18 1/2 ounce) packagedevil's food cake
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 13 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 6 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 dash salt

Directions

    Prepare cake mix according to package directions.

    Spoon batter into paper-lined muffin pans, filling 2/3 full.

    In separate bowl, combine cream cheese and sugar - creaming until light and fluffy.

    Add egg and salt - beating well, stir in chocolate chips.

    Spoon one heaping teaspoon of cream cheese mixture onto center of each cupcake.

    Bake at 350F for 25 minutes.

    Cool in pan for 20 minutes.
