  • 1 teaspoon olive or canola oil
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 1 1/2 pounds broccoli, cut into small florets, stems peeled and diced, if desired
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce (lowest sodium available)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

    In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium-high heat.

    Cook the sesame seeds for 1 minute, or until beginning to brown, stirring constantly with a long-handled spoon (be carefulsesame seeds will spit).

    Cook for about 3 minutes, or until the broccoli turns bright green, stirring constantly.

    Stir in the remaining ingredients.
