  • 2 c. sliced raw potatoes
  • 1 1/2 lb. ground beef
  • 1/2 c. chopped green pepper
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 c. sliced celery
  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 (1 lb.) can tomatoes
  • 2 c. grated cheese

Directions

    In a greased 2 1/2-quart casserole, arrange layers of potatoes, celery, meat, onion, green pepper and tomatoes. Sprinkle potato and beef layers with salt and pepper.

    Bake in a moderate oven (350°) for 2 hours, or until potatoes are tender. Add cheese about 15 minutes before casserole is ready to remove from oven.
