  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tsp. lemon extract
  • 3 c. cake flour
  • 8 oz. 7-Up

Directions

    In large bowl, cream butter and Crisco with sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each egg.

    Add extract, then beat the flour in slowly.

    Fold in 7-Up.

    Bake in a well greased floured tube pan or Bundt pan at 325° for an hour and 15 minutes or until done.

    Cool in pan for 15 minutes.

    You may add a glaze if desired.
