  • 3 cups grated uncooked corn
  • 5 eggs
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 dashes nutmeg
  • 3/4 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 tsp. pepper
  • 3 cups milk
  • 4 to 5 slices buttered bread, broken into crumbs
  • 2 tbsp. butter

    Preheat oven to 300.

    Place corn in buttered baking dish.

    Beat eggs.

    Add sugar, salt, pepper, nutmeg and milk; blend.

    Pour the mixture over corn and mix in bread crumbs until thick.

    Dot with butter.

    Set baking dish in pan of boiling water and bake for 2 to 2-1/2 hours until top is browned.
