- 1 1/2 lb. sirloin steak, sliced thin
- 2 Tbsp. cooking oil
- 2 Tbsp. cornstarch
- 1 1/2 c. beef broth
- 1 can water chestnuts, sliced and drained
- 1 medium red pepper, chopped coarse
- 5 green onions, sliced 1-inch pieces
- 3 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1 1/2 c. quick cooking rice
Directions

1Saute beef in oil in large skillet until browned (about 5 minutes).

2Add cornstarch and blend well.

3Add broth, water chestnuts, red pepper, soy sauce, onions and black pepper.

4Bring to a boil, stirring often.

5Stir in rice and remove from heat. Let stand about 5 minutes.

6Fluff with fork.
