  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1/3 c. shortening
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. flour
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon

Directions

    Bring to boil oleo, shortening, cocoa and water.

    Sift together in bowl, flour and sugar.
  3. 3
    Add to bowl, buttermilk, eggs, vanilla, soda and cinnamon.

    Add chocolate mixture to flour mixture and mix well by hand.

    Pour cake mixture into pan and bake for 20 minutes at 400°.
