  • 2 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 c. Crisco oil
  • 1 stick oleo
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 c. water
  • 4 tsp. cocoa
  • 1/2 c. buttermilk

Directions

    Sift flour and sugar, bring Crisco, oleo, water and cocoa to rapid boil and pour over sugar and flour.

    Mix well buttermilk, soda, vanilla and eggs and add to mixture.

    Pour into 9 x 16-inch pan.

    Bake 20 minutes at 425°.
