Ingredients

  • 4 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 1/4 c. unsifted flour
  • 2 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 3/4 c. milk
  • 1 1/2 lb. fresh shrimp, cooked, shelled and deveined
  • 1 (7 3/4 oz.) can king crab meat
  • 1 can pimento, cut into strips
  • 1/4 c. dry sherry

Directions

    Melt butter in large skillet; saute onion until tender.

    Add mushrooms; saute about 2 minutes longer.

    Add flour and salt; stir with wooden spoon until mixture has bubbled, about 1 minute. Slowly add milk, stirring with a wooden spoon.

    Simmer until thickened.

    Add shrimp, crab meat, pimento and sherry.

    Serve over rice, toast points or patty shells.
