- 4 egg yolks
- 1/2 c. sherry
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 envelope gelatin
- 1/3 c. milk
- 4 egg whites
- 1/2 pt. heavy whipping cream
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 small angel food cake
Directions

1Beat egg yolks well.

2Add sherry and 1/2 cup sugar.

3Cook in double boiler until like custard.

4Soak gelatin in milk and stir into hot custard.

5Let cool.

6Whip egg whites stiff.

7Whip 1/2 pint cream into 1 cup sugar.

8Fold into custard.

9Crumble cake and place a layer of crumbs in bottom of a greased spring pan, alternating layers of cake and custard.

10Let stand in refrigerator 12 hours.

11Turn out and ice with 1/2 pint whipped cream.
