  • 1 heaping tsp. baking soda
  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. molasses or King syrup

Directions

    Mix flour, brown sugar and Crisco by hand until crumbly.

    Take out 1 cup for top, then add boiling water, molasses and baking soda.

    Mix together. Put into greased pan.

    Put crumbs on top. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes.
