  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 lb. dark brown sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 1 c. molasses (King)
  • 2 tsp. baking soda

Directions

    Mix flour, butter and sugar into crumbs.

    Keep 1 1/2 cups for top of cake.

    Mix water, molasses and soda and put into remaining crumbs.

    Mix until real wet.

    Pour in pan; spread crumbs on top. Bake at 350° for 35 to 45 minutes.
