- 2 (8-inch) pie crusts
- 2 c. flour
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 c. shortening
- 1 c. hot water
- 1 c. dark molasses
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1First, mix crumbs together (flour, sugar and shortening) until size of a pea.

2Take out about 1 cup and set aside.

3Mix liquids (hot water, molasses and baking soda), stir together and add your crumbs and fill pie shells 3/4 full.

4Sprinkle your crumbs on top. Bake at 400° for 10 minutes, 350° for 20 to 25 minutes.

5Do not open oven until done.
