- 3/4 cup water boiling
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
- 1 each pie shell (9 inch) 9 inch
Directions

1Make sure the 9-inch pie crust is unbaked.

2Mix the first four ingredients.

3With hands, mix next three ingredients.

4Pour about 13 mollasses mixture into pie pan lined with pastry rolled 18 inch thick.

5Sprinkle with 13 of flour mixture.

6Continue alternating layers until all ingredients are used, ending with layer of flour.

7Bake in preheated moderate oven (375 deg.

8F.) for 35 minutes.

9Serve warm or cold.
