  • 3/4 cup molasses dark
  • 3/4 cup water boiling
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups flour, all-purpose sifted
  • 1/4 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar firmly packed
  • 1 each pie shell (9 inch) 9 inch

    Make sure the 9-inch pie crust is unbaked.

    Mix the first four ingredients.

    With hands, mix next three ingredients.

    Pour about 13 mollasses mixture into pie pan lined with pastry rolled 18 inch thick.

    Sprinkle with 13 of flour mixture.

    Continue alternating layers until all ingredients are used, ending with layer of flour.
