- 1/2 stick butter
- 4 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 c. self-rising flour
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 (14 oz.) can condensed milk
- 1/4 c. pecans, chopped
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 4 oz. German sweet chocolate, melted in 1 Tbsp. water
Directions

1Cream 1/2 stick butter with four tablespoons sugar.

2Blend in flour.

3Spread onto greased 8-inch square pan and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.

4Mix together the next four ingredients and cook, stirring until mixture leaves the sides of the pan.

5Add vanilla. Pour over shortbread.

6Cool.

7Spread melted chocolate over toffee. Cool.

8Cut into squares.
