- 3 c. flour
- 2 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
- 4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 3/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 sticks margarine
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1 egg, beaten
Directions

1Sift together first five ingredients; cut in margarine.

2Stir in milk and eggs.

3Mix to form a dough.

4Knead dough lightly on a floured surface.

5Shape into half inch thick square.

6Cut into nine 3-inch biscuits.

7Place on cookie sheet.

8Heat oven to 400°. Bake 15 minutes.

9Split warm biscuits and top with your favorite fresh or frozen fruit.

10Yields 9 servings.
