- 1 c. butter
- 1 lb. brown sugar
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. chopped walnuts
Directions

1Line a 13 x 9 x 2-inch pan with foil; lightly butter foil.

2In a heavy 3-quart pan, melt butter over low heat.

3Add sugar, milk and corn syrup; mix well.

4Cook over medium heat, stirring often to 248° (firm ball stage).

5Mixture should boil at a moderate steady rate over the entire surface, about 15 to 20 minutes.

6Remove from heat; immediately add vanilla and walnuts.

7Quickly pour into pan. Use a buttered knife to cut into 1-inch squares.

8Wrap in waxed paper.
