Shredded Wheat Raised Rolls

Ingredients
- 2 shredded wheat biscuits
- 1 Tbsp. shortening
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1/2 c. molasses
- 1 c. raisins (optional)
- 1 pt. boiling water
- 1 yeast cake or 1 Tbsp. dry yeast
- 4 1/2 c. flour
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except yeast and flour.

2Let stand until lukewarm.

3Add yeast and flour; let rise until double.

4Punch down and let rise again (not necessary).

5Put dough on lightly floured board and knead slightly.

6Cut into rolls and put in well-greased pan to rise.

7Bake in 350° to 375° oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. May need to cover with foil after 10 minutes to keep from browning.
