Shrimp Barbecue

  • 4 to 5 lb. large shrimp
  • 1 3/4 lb. butter
  • 1/4 c. black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced or pressed
  • 1 c. lemon juice

Directions

    Wash and clean shrimp well, but do not shell.

    Place shrimp in large pan that is at least 2-inches deep.

    Melt butter; add to it the pepper, garlic and lemon juice.

    Pour this over shrimp.

    Cover with foil.

    Bake at 250° for 2 hours.

    Turn oven off and let shrimp marinate in warm oven until ready to serve.

    Serve shrimp in liquid mixture with green salad and French bread.

    Be sure to dip the bread in butter sauce!
