- 1 piece garlic
- 1 medium onion
- 1 medium green pepper
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 tsp. sugar
- 1 (28 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
- 1/4 tsp. Tabasco sauce
- 1 c. wine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1/4 tsp. thyme
- bay leaf
- 1 1/2 lb. shrimp
- rice
Directions

1Saute garlic, onion, green pepper and celery.

2Cook until tender, about 10 minutes.

3Add flour and sugar and stir.

4Add stewed tomatoes, Tabasco sauce, wine, salt, chili powder, thyme and bay leaf.

5Simmer 1 hour.

6Add shrimp.

7Serve over rice.
