Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. chopped onion
- 1 c. chopped celery
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 1/4 c. butter
- 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 c. water
- 2 tsp. snipped parsley
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 2 bay leaves
- 14 oz. peeled fresh shrimp
- 3 c. hot cooked rice
Directions

1Melt butter in skillet.

2Add onions, celery, green pepper and garlic.

3Cook until onions are tender.

4Remove from heat.

5Add tomato sauce, water and seasoning and stir.

6Return to heat and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

7May add additional water if needed.

8Stir in shrimp and heat to boiling.
-
9Cover and reduce heat to medium and cook 10 to 20 minutes or until shrimp are pink and tender.

10Serve over hot cooked rice.
