Ingredients

  • 1 c. chopped onion
  • 1 c. chopped celery
  • 1 c. chopped green pepper
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 (15 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 tsp. minced parsley
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
  • 2 bay leaves, crushed
  • 12 oz. raw shrimp
  • 3 c. cooked rice

Directions

    Melt butter in skillet and add onion, celery, peppers and garlic.

    Cook and stir for about 5 minutes.

    Remove from heat. Add tomato sauce, water, parsley, salt, pepper, bay leaves and shrimp.

    Simmer for 10 minutes (you may need to add additional water) and serve over hot cooked rice.
