Ingredients

  • 1 lb. shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1/4 c. chopped celery
  • 1/4 c. chopped onion
  • 2 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes, cut up
  • 1/4 c. chili sauce
  • 2 tsp. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. dried thyme
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp. beef flavored gravy base

Directions

    Cook shrimp in boiling water 1 to 3 minutes or until done. Drain and set aside.

    Cook celery and onion in oil until tender. Add remaining ingredients.

    Cover and simmer 30 minutes.

    Add shrimp and heat through.

    Serve over rice.
