Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. coarsely chopped onions
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 small clove garlic, finely minced
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 1/2 small bay leaf
  • 4 drops Tabasco sauce
  • 1/2 c. diced green pepper
  • 1 (1 lb. 3 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 2 c. cooked, cleaned shrimp

Directions

    Melt Parkay (butter) in frypan.

    Add onions, celery and garlic. Cook slowly until tender but not brown.

    Add flour and seasonings; stir until blended.

    Stir in green pepper and tomatoes.

    Cook for 10 minutes over low heat.

    Add shrimp and heat thoroughly.

    Makes 6 servings.
