Ingredients
- 4 Tbsp. bacon drippings
- 2 medium onions, diced
- 1 green pepper, diced
- 1 qt. can tomatoes
- 1 1/2 c. celery, diced
- 3 Tbsp. tomato paste
- salt and pepper to taste
- 3 c. cooked shrimp
- 1 tsp. sugar
Directions

1Combine onions, green pepper and celery.

2Fry in bacon drippings for 15 to 20 minutes.

3Add tomatoes, sugar and tomato paste.

4Stir to break tomatoes.

5Let this mixture simmer slowly to thick consistency, about 30 to 45 minutes.

6Add salt and pepper. Fifteen minutes before serving, add cooked shrimp and stir.

7Serve over rice.

8Makes 6 to 8 servings and goes well with a mixed green salad.
