  • 1/4 c. butter
  • 1 c. celery, chopped
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • dash of cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 small bay leaf
  • 1/2 c. green pepper, diced
  • 1 slice lemon
  • 1 c. onion, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 4 drops Tabasco
  • 1 lb. can tomatoes
  • 2 c. cooked shrimp

Directions

    Melt butter in skillet and add onion, celery and green peppers.

    Cook slowly until tender; add flour and seasoning and stir.

    Stir in tomatoes; cook 10 minutes over low heat.

    Add shrimp.

    Remove bay leaf and lemon slice.
