Ingredients
- 2 large onions, chopped
- 1 green pepper, chopped
- 1 lb. fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 large cans (29 oz.) tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 2 tsp. sweet basil
- dash of Tabasco sauce
- 1 to 2 lb. peeled, cooked shrimp
- 2 c. rice
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 4 c. water
Directions

1Saute first 3 ingredients in a deep skillet until tender.

2Add next 6 ingredients.

3Cover and simmer for 20 minutes.

4Cook remaining ingredients.

5Boil until liquid is absorbed (do not stir).

6Let set for 5 minutes, then fluff with a fork.

7Either add the rice to the sauce and mix well or pour the sauce over each serving of rice.
