Ingredients
- 3 to 4 lb. shrimp
- 5 Tbsp. shortening
- 4 Tbsp. flour
- 1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
- 6 to 8 green onions, chopped
- 1/2 c. celery, chopped
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp. hot sauce
- 1 large can tomato sauce
- 1 can water
- salt, red pepper and black pepper to taste
Directions

1Wash and peel raw shrimp and remove black veins.

2Heat shortening in deep skillet.

3Add flour and cook on medium heat, stirring constantly until rich dark brown.

4Add chopped onions, celery, green peppers, tomato sauce and water.

5Let simmer 30 minutes and bring to boiling.

6Add shrimp and cook 15 to 20 minutes.

7Serve over steamed rice.
