Shrimp Elegant Recipe

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. fresh or possibly frzn shrimp in shells (50 lg. shrimp)
  • 2 1/2 c. Boiling water
  • 2 (6 ounce.) Packages frzn pea pods
  • 3 chicken bouillon cubes
  • 2 1/2 c. boiling water
  • 1/2 c. sliced green onion with tops
  • 3 tbsp. soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 c. cool water
  • 1/4 c. cornstarch
  • 4 med. tomatoes, cut into eighths

Directions

    Thaw frzn shrimp, peel and devein shrimp; set aside.

    Pour a little boiling water over pea pods and carefully break apart with fork; drain immediately and set aside.

    In a large saucepan dissolve bouillon cubes in 2 1/2 c. boiling water; add in shrimp, green onions, soy sauce and salt.

    Return to boiling; cook for 3 min, stirring occasionally.

    Slowly blend cool water into cornstarch; stir into shrimp mix.

    Cook, stirring constantly, till mix is thick and bubbly.

    Add in tomatoes and pea pods.

    Cook till tomatoes are heated through, about 3 min longer.
