Ingredients
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 1/4 c. celery, chopped
- 3 or 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 c. melted butter
- 2 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
- 4 drops hot sauce
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- pepper to taste
- 2 bay leaves
- 1 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. thyme
- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 1/4 c. tomato puree
- 1 lb. raw shrimp, cleaned, deveined and chopped
- hot cooked rice
Directions

1Saute all vegetables in butter about 2 minutes.

2Add flour, seasonings, water and tomato puree.

3Cook, stirring constantly until thick.

4Add shrimp; cook about 5 minutes.

5Serve over hot rice.
