Shrimp Stew

Ingredients

  • 1/4 c. flour
  • 1/4 c. oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 rib celery, chopped
  • Tabasco to taste
  • 2 Tbsp. chopped parsley
  • 2 Tbsp. green onion, chopped
  • 1 lb. peeled shrimp
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Saute flour and oil until brown.

    Add onion, garlic, celery, parsley and green onion.

    Cover and simmer over low heat for 5 minutes.

    Add 3/4 cup water, salt and pepper and Tabasco.

    Simmer for 1 hour.

    Stir in shrimp and cook covered for 5 minutes.

    Serve over hot creamy rice.
