- 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1 small red onion, chopped
- 1 small bell pepper, chopped
- 2 to 3 tablespoons hot sauce (Melindas, Chrystal, or Tabasco)
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 2 to 3 teaspoons crushed red pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley
- 3 pounds shrimp with tails, peeled
- 3 to 4 red potatoes, boiled, peeled, and quartered
