Directions

    Beat flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, milk, shortening and vanilla on low speed for 30 seconds.

    Beat on high speed 2 minutes.

    Add egg whites; beat 2 minutes.

    Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes or until done (test with toothpick).
