  • 4 bananas, well rippen, mashed
  • 13 cup butter, melted
  • 34 cup brown sugar
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 12 teaspoons baking soda
  • 18 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose white flour

    Preheat oven to 350'F.

    Roughly mashed bananas in large mixing bowl, don't worry about a few little chunks, it doesn't need to be perfectly smooth.

    Mix in sugar, nutmeg, egg and vanilla.

    Sprinkle baking soda and salt over mixture and stir.

    Add whole wheat and all purpose flour and mix just until blended.

    Pour into greased loaf pan (preferrably glass).

    Bake for 1 hour or until you can insert a knife and have it come out clean.
