- 100 g caster sugar
- 100 g soft butter
- 100 g self-raising flour
- 1 large whisked egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Directions

1Pre heat the oven at 180C (350F/gas mark 4).

2Put the cases in the cupcake tray.

3Creme the sugar and butter together in the bowl, then add the beaten egg and vanilla.

4Mix until combined.

5Next sift in the flour and mix again until the batter is fluffy and has a dropping consistency.

6Add dashes of milk if necessary.

7Plop a tablespoon of batter in each case and then pop in the oven 15-20 mins or till golden.

8Take out and leave for 10-15 mins to cool.

9If you want to put icing on, make sure you do it after you've let them cool.
