- 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
- 1 whole Large White Onion, Chopped
- 3/4 pounds, 2-18 ounces, weight Minced Lean Beef Steak
- 2 cloves Garlic, Minced
- 1 pound, 5- 1/4 ounces, weight Canned Chopped Tomatoes
- 7 ounces, weight Tomato Puree, Double Concentrate
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Organic Balsamic Vinegar
- 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Sugar
- Salt And Pepper, to taste
- 3/4 pounds, 2-18 ounces, weight Spaghetti
- 1 cup Fresh Basil, Chopped
Directions

1Begin by heating a large pan/stock pot of water on high heat.

2I like to season my water with a little pinch of salt.

3Add olive oil to a separate pan and heat on high until oil is hot.

4Add onions and sautee until transparent and soft.

5Add minced beef steak and brown.

6Once meat has browned, pour off any excess fat, holding back a small amount for flavour and moistness.

7Add garlic to the pan and cook with the meat for a few more minutes.

8Lower the heat and pour in the chopped tomatoes.

9Add tomato puree and combine.

10Let sauce simmer and reduce.

11Once sauce is to desired thickness, add balsamic vinegar, sugar and salt and pepper to taste.

12In the pan/stock pot of boiling water, add the spaghetti and cook until al dente.

13Meanwhile, let the sauce simmer on a low heat.

14Once pasta is cooked, add the fresh basil to the sauce and let it cook while you drain the spaghetti.

15Serve the sauce on a bed of pasta and enjoy.
