- 10 slices trimmed white bread
- 1/2 lb. (+ or -) Cheddar and/or Jack cheese
- 6 eggs
- 3 c. milk
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Grease 9 x 13-inch baking dish.

2Cut or tear bread into 1-inch pieces (forget the butter).

3Mix bread and cheese; pour over mixture of beaten eggs, milk and salt.

4May dot with butter (not necessary).

5Refrigerate overnight.

6Bake 50 minutes or more, so it won't be soggy in the center.
