- 125 g butter, at room temperature
- 100 g dark chocolate, chopped into small pieces
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar, I use brown
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 23 cup plain flour
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- salt, just a pinch
- 125 g chopped nuts (optional)
Directions

1Pre heat oven 180C.

2Butter 20cm square cake tin.

3Melt butter and choc in saucepan over low heat.

4When melted ans smooth, set aside to cool.

5Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl till thick and creamy.

6Stir n cooled chocolate and golden syrup.

7Then add flour, cocoa, salt and nuts.

8Pour into tin, bake 30 minutes.

9Remove from oven, cool in tin then cut into squares.
