  • 2 sticks margarine or butter
  • 1/2 c. Crisco
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 5 eggs, beaten until lemon colored
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 tsp. coconut extract
  • 1 tsp. butter extract
  • 1 tsp. rum extract
  • 1 tsp. lemon extract
  • 1 tsp. almond extract
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

    Cream butter, Crisco, and sugar until light and fluffy.

    Add eggs.

    Combine flour and baking powder; add to creamed mixture alternately with milk.

    Stir in extracts.

    Spoon mixture into prepared 10-inch tube pan.

    Bake at 325° for approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes or until cake tests done.

    Add glaze if desired. Cool in pan 10 minutes before turning out.
