- 2 yeast cakes
- 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 2 c. milk
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Scald milk; let cool to lukewarm.

2Dissolve yeast and sugar in the cooled milk.

3Add 2 cups of flour; beat for 5 minutes.

4Add melted shortening and beat for 1 minute.

5Add the cups of flour and salt.

6Turn onto board with 1 cup flour; knead well.

7Cover; let rise for 30 minutes.

8Roll 1/2-inch thick and bake (no need to knead the second time; just punch down and make into rolls).
