  • 3 Tbsp. margarine
  • 2/3 c. raw bacon strips
  • 2/3 c. shredded carrots
  • 1 1/2 c. thinly sliced celery
  • 1 qt. shredded cabbage
  • 1/2 c. green pepper strips
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. chicken bouillon
  • 1/4 c. water
  • 1/2 c. chopped onion

Directions

    Melt margarine in skillet; add celery and carrots.

    Simmer 5 minutes.

    Add all the rest of ingredients.

    Cover and simmer until tender but yet crisp, about 8 or 10 minutes.
