  • 1 lb cubed lean beef
  • flour
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons shortening
  • 1 cup sliced green pepper
  • 1 cup diced celery
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped onion

Directions

    Dredge meat with flour to which salt and pepper have been added.

    Brown in shortening.

    When brown, push meat to one corner and add vegetables, keeping each separate.

    Salt and pepper to taste.

    Cover and steam over low heat for 30 minutes or until all ingredients are tender.
