  • 1 lb. smoked Mozzarella, sliced
  • 3 vine ripe tomatoes, sliced
  • large bunch large basil leaves, separated
  • 1/4 to 1/2 c. olive oil
  • 2 to 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
  • minced fresh garlic
  • ground black pepper

Directions

    Alternate one slice of cheese, one slice of tomato, one or two large basil leaves.

    Sprinkle all with minced garlic. Drizzle olive oil, a scant amount of balsamic vinegar and ground black pepper. Refrigerate for a few hours to let flavors mingle. Serve cold or at room temperature as an appetizer or a side salad.
