- 3 vine ripe tomatoes, sliced
- large bunch large basil leaves, separated
- 1/4 to 1/2 c. olive oil
- 2 to 3 Tbsp. balsamic vinegar
- minced fresh garlic
- ground black pepper
Directions

1Alternate one slice of cheese, one slice of tomato, one or two large basil leaves.

2Sprinkle all with minced garlic. Drizzle olive oil, a scant amount of balsamic vinegar and ground black pepper. Refrigerate for a few hours to let flavors mingle. Serve cold or at room temperature as an appetizer or a side salad.
