Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 clove garlic
- 1 teaspoon each ground chili powder and cumin
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 cup chili sauce
- 10 ounce package thawed frozen corn kernels
- 1/2 cup water
- Salt and pepper
- Toasted hamburger buns, English muffins or egg bread
Directions

1Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet.

2Add onion and saute for 5 minutes or until somewhat tender.

3Add beef and garlic continue to saute 10 minutes until beef is cooked.

4Stir in ground chili and cumin, tomato and chili sauces, corn, water and simmer uncovered for 10 minutes.

5Season with salt and pepper.

6Spoon over bread of choice.

7VARIATION FOR ADULTS: Toast bread, top with thin slices of Swiss, Monterey Jack or Cheddar cheese and melt slightly in toaster oven.

8After hamburger mix is done, separate mixture between two skillets.

9To adults portion add chopped green chilis or minced fresh jalapeno peppers.

10Can top with sour cream and slivers of red bell pepper.
